About Us

The 4o Days of Zams campaign was inspired by author Shane Claiborne who has penned, amongst many, an inspirational book called “The Irresistible Revolution”. In it he says “Most good things have been said far too many times and just need to be lived.” We all lead busy lives; from demanding jobs to kids and back again, and its hard to find time to “do good”. But there are ways to show love in simple acts of kindness that don’t take too much time yet speak wonders of how much you care.

You may believe in Jesus or Buddha or you many not be religious or spiritual at all… It really doesn’t matter to us! Although the concept of Lent is based in Christianity (the 40 days preceding Easter Sunday) all we’re asking is for 40 days of dedication to make a sandwhich everyday! Why? Well… because its a small, yet significant way, of telling someone you care, admire, appreciate or love them. Be it the beggar at the corner of your road, your colleague at work or the lady behind the teller at your local super market – everyone appreciates a yummy sammie!

So join us in making the world a happier place, one small step (or sammie!) at a time and commit yourself to making 40 sammies over the next 40 days before Easter Sunday. Challenge your work colleagues! Ask Supermarkets to sponsor you! Do what you can to make your neighbourhood a happier place! And we can make a difference one sammie at a time ;)
